However for secondary students there are two choices. You could either send them to Nene Park Academy or Stanground Academy depending on which side of Woodston you decide to live in. 

There are limited amounts of sports clubs available in Woodston. There is a Feeder football club however it is on the outskirts of Woodston meaning a drive would be necessary. However, there are closer facilities like ZUMBA Peterborough and Nene Valley community centre with a convenient sports hall and community place. Oundle Road offers the main amenities for the Woodston area, which includes; supermarket, hairdressers, takeaways, public houses, convenience stores, post office & library

There are several transportation options available in Woodston. Woodston is served by several local bus routes and there are several taxi companies operating in the Woodston area that can be hailed on the street or called for a pickup. Woodston is located on National Cycle Route 63, which runs from Peterborough to Ely, and there are also several local bike routes in the area but as this area is quite a small place many local destinations can be easily reached on foot so many people decide to take footpaths to reach their desired destinations. However, many residents of Woodston still own and use their own personal vehicles for transportation. There are also several car rental agencies in Peterborough that offer vehicles for hire.

For shopping, there is a Lidl supermarket located on Sugar way. There are also several other independent shops and businesses in Woodston. There are several larger supermarkets and shopping centres located in Peterborough, which is a short drive from Woodston.
