What’s Going on in Peterborough – August Edition

Many of you may not realise but 2018 is the 900th anniversary year of Peterborough Cathedral.

Peterborough Celebrates 900 is hosting events throughout the year and this month your little ones can experience what it’s like to be an astronaut for a day and the popular Gin & Rum Festival is coming back to the cathedral on bank holiday weekend. The Battle Proms concert is being held Burghley House on 7th August and if the weather recovers from this weekend’s little outburst it should be a superb night.

If you enjoy the great outdoors then take the family down to Ferry Meadows for a Meadow Bug Hunt on 7th August or just enjoy an afternoon at the water sports centre.

Of course, not forgetting The Lido – Peterborough is blessed with this great outdoor pool and with the summer we are having an afternoon there with the children will be heaps of fun.
