Here you can hire bikes and set off to explore the miles of countryside that surround the lakes. Why not take a picnic to make it more fun. The park offers everything from walking and cycling to fishing, watersports and climbing. There is also a fantastic nature reserve, managed by the Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust and home to the Rutland Osprey Project.
Whether you have excited little ones or grumpy teenagers, getting outside is the perfect way for them to unplug from whatever game they are playing. If the weather is nice enough the Aquapark located on the north shore is sure to be a hit. You and the family can enjoy a round of mini golf or visit Bugtopia the zoo.
